A young Latter-day Saint with dreams of serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has his mission call delayed due to challenges he is going through.

This young man has made every effort to be ready, however, he has been involved in two road accidents which have hampered his progress. All the young man wants is to serve the Lord. His mom shared the story so many people can also pray for her son as she does the same.

In telling the story the mom said, “My son was hit by a car while crossing an intersection last Monday and has endured severe pains since the accident,” she further stated the number of times he has been involved in an accident in the space of two years, “This is his 2nd accident in 2 years which has delayed him being able to serve a mission for our church.”

Below is the full post made by Amy Gile the mother of the young man:

My son was hit by a car while crossing an intersection last Monday and has endured severe pain since the accident. This is his 2nd accident in 2 years which has delayed him being able to serve a mission for our church. He has been earning his own way in the meantime but he now can’t work until he recovers fully. This amazing young man gave up a lot when he chose to serve 8 months ago. He chose to pass up a full ride scholarship in Theatre Arts at a college in making his choice to serve as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. His call hasn’t come still and it has been a long 8 months for him in trying to get dentists and doctors to sign him off. In addition he now has an accident to recover from. It was some kind of miracle that he didn’t die since he was hit so hard. The adversary has worked on him for a while now and it is so very discouraging for him. Please pray for my son to heal quickly and fully recover so that he can serve. Thanks!
