What we can do to avoid spiritual “illness” as we combat COVID-19 – Elder Renlund

Elder Dale G. Renlund: An Understanding Heart

Elder Renlund an apostle of The Church of Jesus Christ has helped members of how they can avoid spiritual “illness”. As the world is fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, it is easy for people to fall ill spiritually.

With no church activity going on, with no temple visits and other things that keep us spiritually strong, Elder Renlund has shown us a way to keep us strong spiritually.

He posted; As we combat COVID-19, I’ve thought about what we can do to avoid spiritual “illness.” Often, we are told that what makes a difference is daily prayer, daily scripture study, daily repentance, and conscientiously preparing for worthily partaking of the sacrament (among others).

With the virus and facing temptations he said, “When faced with an easily transmitted infectious agent, such as SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, I pray we do not let our guard slip, even for a day. When faced with temptations that easily beset us, I pray we do not let our guard slip, even for a day.”
