Tucson Arizona Temple is no more in danger of burning

With wildfire destroying things in Arizona, the Tucson Arizona Temple is no longer in danger. Earlier reports from KSL 5TV was that the temple has been placed under an evacuation watch due to the #BighornFire, which has burned over 3,200 acres in the Santa Catalina Mountains.

A Facebook page with the name Tucson LDS Temple Updates reported that the temple is no danger. Below is the report:

Tucson Temple with the Bighorn Fire in the background. Taken at 9:45 pm on 6/11/20. The Temple is in no danger as the fire is several miles away.

As the temple is out of danger, the state of Arizona is working to bring the fire under control so citizens and any other living thing can be safe.

The Tucson Arizona Temple was dedicated on August 13, 2017. It is the 6th temple in Arizona and the 157th operating temple worldwide. President Uchtdorf dedicated Tucson Arizona Temple.
