The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a video out there that teaches mankind how to have faith, build friendship, and how to forgive one another. This video/story is one of the many released by the church to teach its members and the world at large.

The video is centered on two young men named Matthew and Travis. These two young men are best of friends, however, their friendship ended when Travis distracted Mark in a soccer match. In an attempt to win the soccer match, Mark wanted to do all he could to help his team win. Never did he know his team’s defeat will be caused by him through the help of his best friend Travis.

The defeat made his teammates mock him and even replaced him with another goalkeeper with a broken foot. Theses actions destroyed the relationship between Matthew and Travis.

Despite the effort of Travis coming back to friendship with Matthew, Matthew kept pushing him away until he met Jason. Jason reminded him of his baptismal covenant and the importance of forgiving Travis. In addition to listening to Jason, Matthew read the scripture.

Matthew realizing the importance of forgiving Travis and saying sorry to him brought their relationship back to its best as it were before the soccer defeat. They became best of friends again.

This video can help us as members of the church to remember the covenant made during baptism. This video can be used in teaching both children and adults. Apart from the lessons taught in it, it has the humor side that makes you laugh as you learn important lessons.

The video ended with a quote from President Russell M. Nelson which says, ” I promise you,……that if you will sincerely and persistently do the spiritual work needed to develop the crucial, spiritual skill of learning how to hear the whisperings of the Holy Ghost, you will have all the direction you will ever need in your life.”
