Two sister missionaries of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have been attacked and stabbed by a man who broke into their apartment. The attack happened at Smilling Woods & Tomball Pkwy on Sunday at 4:15 a.m.
The two missionaries were attacked in their sleep by the invader. One sister missionary is in stable condition and the other sister missionary’s condition is unknown but is expected to survive in the hospital. The missionaries are aged 19 and 20. They are serving the Texas Houston Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
A statement on ABC 13 website says, “Deputies said the man lives near the women, who work in the area as missionaries for the Texas Houston Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.”
Church spokesperson, Daniel Woodruff in a statement said, “The young women were taken to the hospital and are expected to recover,” he went on to say, “We sincerely pray for them and their families as they deal with and heal from this ordeal. We are grateful for the medical workers and first responders who have been caring for the missionaries since this occurred.”
